Curby’s Express Market

Brand Identity, Signage & Environmental Graphics, Packaging

Unlike most c-stores which are anchored by gas pumps and whose in-store offerings seem only attractive to those who are waiting for their tanks to fill up; Curby’s Express Market pivoted and developed a gasless drive-thru c-store designed with local commuters in mind. At Curby’s, customers can stop in and fill up on desirable food and treats, fun and whimsical drinks and loads of personality, making it a new breed of convenience store.

Based out of Lubbock, Texas, the team behind Curby’s first approached us to help with the name and identity. We concepted and developed the name, Curby's, highlighting both a curbside drive-thru with all the c-store essentials and an approachable and loyal mascot that’s with you on your morning or afternoon commute.

We then collaborated with their construction and design teams to develop the look of both the exterior and interior of the first store. We participated in site visits, reviewed construction plans, designed elevation drawings with concepts and branding, and even selected finishes to help bring the environment to life.

At the same time, we developed menus, packaging, uniforms, and initial marketing materials for the highly anticipated grand opening.
